Description
1969 "B" can 1/32 scale early anglewinder w/ pin guide, front steer & spare body.Interesting handmade car from the estate of Bob Von Stowver. Well crafted in stainless steel, the chassis uses a pin guide as was popular on club racing cars in the American midwest. Unlike most pin guide cars, this one has adapted a pro-style Jet flag to use quick change braid as is still popular today. It also has rear axle tube attached directly to the modified, robust "B" type Mura can. This was a popular style in English club racing and the first anglewinders. "Bat pans" and a "Plumber" hinge would have been state of the art at the time. The horizontally pivoting front suspension is a fascinating and well executed feature. It seem to aid cornering and perhaps damps the shock when the pin strikes the side of the slot in a corner. Seems like the kind of thing that would be banned in the next rule set, as it does make the car wider "temporarily"!
Original McKee Mk10 Can Am body and an exact matched, unpainted original spare body is included.
Wheel inserts up front and beautiful Cox magnesium rims on the rear with cast on and trued silicone tires.
Silicone rear tires are still grippy. Quick change braid has been replaced. Otherwise car is as built and raced in 1969. Car has been lubed and test driven. Still runs well. Body is cracked, clear spare included.

Although the McKee Can am car looks much like this body, I have been informed that the body is actually a Russkit CroSal. Thank you Toni!
