Just remove the old filter cartridge and place a new one in the filter. No-messy assembly required! Aqua-Tech filter cartridges feature a 3-stage filtration system. As part of this system, these filter cartridges are packed with activated carbon. This carbon works fast at removing odors, discoloration and impurities. Over time, the carbon deactivates and must be replaced. The Aqua-Tech EZ-Change Aquarium Filter Replacements come in a variety of sizes including 5-15 gallon filters, 20-40/30-60 gallon filters, and 10-20 filters. This allows aquarium enthusiasts of any size tank to enjoy an aquarium that is free from odor, discoloration and impurities! These filters are designed specifically for Aqua-Tech 20-40 and 30-60 Power Filters. For best results, it is recommended that you change your Aqua-Tech Filter monthly.
