Not much is known about this prolific, registered Silversmith aside from the fact that he has created some spectacular sterling jewelry from Taxco, Mexico, “The Silver Capital of the World.” Sandoval has several registration marks assigned to him:

-30, -70, -79, & -134 and his “Two Trees” logo often accompanies them. He is mentioned on page 273 of Morrill’s Mexican Silver Book as well as in Hougart’s book on page 268. I’ve never seen an Eagle assay mark on any of his pieces and thus believe he is more of a contemporary artist most likely producing from the 1980s on. Although he works independently for the most part, his pieces have also been sold via the famous Taxco retail shop, Laton.

~ Hinged Bangle: Bypass Design with an Aztec Spear motif, the conical points cleverly serve as a clasp also. To open, lift the top cone to release and open the bracelet. Inner circumference is 6.5”, inner diameter is 2.25” left-to-right & 1.75” fr-to-bk, 2” gap when fully open for an easy on, 1/2” wide in front & 3/4” in back, 19.4 grams
~ Dangle/Drop Earrings: Aztec Stepped Fret Design with Black Enamel, 2.5” from wire top to earring bottom, 1.75” diameter, 18.1 grams
~ Stamps: TS-79 (Taxco registration mark), 925 (purity mark), Mexico, & the earrings also have the Two Trees logo
