    DESIGNER/COMPANY/LOCATION: Los Ballesteros
was established in the family’s home town of Iguala in 1937 by Jalil Majul Ballesteros who came from a long line of well-known silversmith artisans. In 1941, during a rebirth of the Mexican craft of silver, Jalil moved the family jewelry business to the colonial mining city of Taxco where it grew to become a large manufacturer and retailer of fine Mexican jewelry. Its jewelry tradition, unique designs, and exceptional craftsmanship have made Talleres de los Ballesteros a national reference among silver jewelry brands in Mexico and it has received international recognition for its designs. In the past as well as today, each piece is hand wrought by its Artisans who are truly gifted in making Silver come to life.
    METAL:
    925 Sterling Silver
    DETAILS:
    ~ c.1950s Handwrought Bracelet
~ Heavy, solid, substantial piece weighing 100.8 grams!
~ Aztec Design with oxidized channels
~ Stamps: Logo, Talleres de Los Ballesteros, Taxco (city) Gro (state of Guerrero), 925 Sterling *There should also be an Eagle assay mark, but it apparently got skipped on this piece.
~ Very secure Pin Closure & Safety Chain *If right handed, I’d wear bracelet on left hand so you’re right one is free to place the pin through the holes. Easiest if you get the pin through the first set of holes so hand is free to pull the other piece in. Pin goes in straight, not at an angle. A bit blurry, but you can see holes on the left & right sides in photo 10. Close up of pin engaged in last pic.
    CONDITION:
    Excellent
    Vintage condition
with minor surface wear considering the age. Please view all photos to judge for yourself keeping in mind that they’re high def Canon pics which exaggerate any blemishes that may be present.
