Four pancake probes are shown in photos,
to show that the vinyl end-covers will fit
pancake probes made by four Geiger counter
companies:  Ludlum, Johnson,  Eberline, or
Bicron.
Only FOUR covers are included in the
lot.  You will receive FOUR COVERS, not three.
Also, the pancake probes seen in the photos
are NOT INCLUDED; they are shown only to
illustrate how the vinyl covers fit on the probes.
The probe covers can be selected from these
three colors:   BLACK,    ORANGE,  or   RED.
With BLACK color, maximum number selected is
four;  with  ORANGE or  RED, one each
probe-covers can be selected.

VINYL COVER
The most fragile and delicate component
in a geiger counter is the thin-mica-
membrane in a pancake probe. The
sensor is expensive:  5.00 plus .00
shipping, even when purchased factory direct
( LND Corp., Oceanside NY; sensor # 7311)
The thin-mica-membrane on the sensor can
be punctured and ruined by any object that
penetrates the metal screen: a blade of straw,
grass, cactus thorns, insect stings, etc.  The
vinyl cover protects that sensor. I recommend
that, when prospecting at ground level
outdoors, the cover be kept in place.
This
protects the probe against
catastrophic damage to the sensor.
Buy these protective probe-covers before
your probe's delicate sensor is ruined!

NOTICE TO OWNERS OF BICRON
PGM PANCAKE PROBES
The probe shown in photos is an
older Bicron PGM pancake,
shaped
like probes of other brands. The
newer Bicron
probes
of this model
have sloped sides and the vinyl cover
fits less
well on the sloped side
than on a straight vertical side.
