    RARE Taxco Eagle #2 Sterling Turquoise Necklace With Owl Pendant
    Offered is an exceptionally rare early vintage Taxco owl themed sterling silver, turquoise chip necklace. It was
    acquired
    from the Florida estate of a long term, high end owl collector. I feel confident that you will not find another, as I did a detailed search of present and past on line sales, and could not find another example of this piece. Interestingly, this owl design has been copied over the years apparently, originating from this example.
    It is impressive and substantial in size and weight measuring, 24" long with 20 links and a massive 5" reticulated owl with cat's eye stone dangling eyes. It
    weighs
    110 grams. It is marked as
    pictured. This mark dates the piece between 1930 - 1945.
