STROMBECKER, 1961 INCOMPLETE 1:32 GAUGE SLOT CAR RACING SET # 312, USED, NO CARS

Description

Strombecker 1961, 1:32 gauge slot car racing set # 312 is used and incomplete. Items missing include: No slot cars are included. No transformer or connecting wires are included. Some connecting wire for the two control buttons maybe missing. Control buttons have not been tested, both are clean and don't appear to have been used much. No track locks are included. A couple of fences have fence posts broken on the bottom, but other posts hold the fences in track holes. Some bridge supports could be missing, although roadway is drivable. Look closely for a couple of small rust spots on track.
The set includes: Original manufactures Set # 312 box, with wear, but holds items, (6) six straight track, (8) eight curved track, (8) eight fences, (8) eight track bridge supports, (2) two control buttons. The track doesn't show any broken parts.
In addition, see the third photo, a copy of letter send out on August 2, 1960 regarding the, "New #312 ECONOMY ROAD RACING SET", from the VP of Sales/Strombecker .
I only found a couple of entries on the internet regarding this Set # 312. I'd say it's a collectible item.

Added after posting:
4 bridge supports are missing, roadway is drivable.
2 or 3 of the fence posts are missing,
other posts hold the fences in track holes.
Track came with the gold strips on track, it's not rust.
